DAY 1 – Arrive San Jose Airport

DAY 2 – San Francisco
This morning’s brief drive will bring you to San Francisco ~ the “City by the Bay”. The sights in San Francisco are almost too numerous to count. With Chinatown, Fisherman’s Wharf, Union Square, Golden Gate Park, Lombard Street, Haight-Ashbury, beautiful Pacific Heights and more to see. Enjoy free time at Pier 39 before a dinner at Caesars Restaurant followed by a most entertaining performance, Beach Blanket Babylon! DAY 3 – Napa Wine Country
Travel to the famed Napa Valley Wine Country today. Breathtaking views abound at every turn; mustard plants in the spring, picturesque rolling hills planted with vineyards year-round and wineries of every stature dot the landscape. Enjoy stops for tastings of different varieties of wine and a picnic lunch in the vineyards. Return to the Embassy Suites in time for cocktails and dinner on your own. DAY 4 – Monterey & “Carmel-by-the-Sea”
Our first stop is the World Famous Monterey Bay Aquarium, located on the site of a former sardine cannery on Cannery Row on the Pacific Ocean shoreline . It holds 35000 plants and animals representing 623 species, and has the distinction of being the first aquarium to successfully house a Great White Shark. Following your visit enjoy a hosted lunch at Bubba Gump’s. Afterwords board your special coach for a “Movie Tour” showcasing the Monterey Peninsula’s legendary scenery and film sites of movies past. This fascinating tour features both magnificent landscapes and blockbuster scenes from some 200 movies filmed across the Monterey Peninsula. DAY 5 – Silicon Valley
The world's leading center of innovation, Silicon Valley! The citizens are committed to remaining a top-ranked place to work, live, learn and play. Visit the San Jose Tech Museum. This innovative museum contains themed galleries focusing on innovation, the internet, the human body, and exploration fill the upper and lower level of the museum. These galleries are constantly being revamped and changed to fit the themed movies and exhibits. On the lower level there is also a public piece of artwork titled “Origin” which is inside a 45-foot tall cylinder. An optional visit to the San Jose Museum of Art is available to those who are more low-tech! The Winchester Mystery House is a well-known California mansion. It was under construction continuously for 38 years, and is reported to be haunted. It was once the personal residence of Sarah Winchester, the widow of gun magnate William Wirt Winchester. Silicon Valley is the home of the computer industry where Apple Computer was founded by Steven Paul Jobs and Stephen {Woz} Wozniak. DAY 6 – Homeward bound.
After breakfast this morning transfer to the San Jose Airport for your flight home. You will take with you a new perspective of Northern California and insight into her charms! (B)
