Tour Description/Daily Itinerary:

DAY 1 – Arrive Long Island
Welcome to Long Island! Meet your local Long Island guide at MacArthur Airport (ISP). A motor coach will deliver you to your hotel. Arrive at the 4 star Hotel Indigo East End in Riverhead. Relax and enjoy the amenities the inn offers before your departure for dinner. Dinner is at the Touch of Venice Restaurant located on Long Island’s North Fork in Mattituck, the agriculture region of the island. Hotel Indigo East End, Riverhead, NY  (D)

DAY 2 – Touring the Hamptons
Hot buffet breakfast at the inn. Shinnecock Indian Cultural Center. The people of the Shinnecock Nation were the original east end inhabitants of Long Island. This is the only Native American owned and operated museum on Long Island. Montauk Point Lighthouse. The oldest operating lighthouse in New York State and the fourth oldest in the country, this lighthouse was ordered built by George Washington in 1792. Gosman’s Dock. This is a combination of a working fishing port and a shopping area. You will have time to visit the shops and also will have “free time” to enjoy lunch on your own at this waterfront center. East Hampton Tour. Take in such sights as historical homes, museums, Main Street, churches and mansions. At the conclusion of the tour, you will have an opportunity to meander through the village for a bit of personal sightseeing and shopping. Duck Walk Vineyard. Long Island’s East end has become known as wine country. Now you will have the opportunity to stop by one of Long Island’s most popular vineyards for a tour and tasting. Be sure to sample the popular Blueberry Port and the Aphrodite. Tour Southampton. Take a trip through the village and then see some of the most elaborate homes in America owned by some of the world’s wealthiest people. At the end of the Southampton “Mansion Row Tour” you will have the opportunity to walk along one of the most popular white sand beaches on Long Island. Dinner at Southampton Publick House. An original Southampton experience in a genuine Hamptons atmosphere. Hotel Indigo East End, Riverhead, NY(B,D)

DAY 3 – Sag Harbor, Vineyard and Lobsters
Hot buffet breakfast at the inn. Sag Harbor Tour. A visit to one of Long Island’s most popular maritime villages, Sag Harbor has a fascinating history in whaling. You will see the town’s centuries-old streets lined with ancient trees and inviting homes along with the many antique shops and boutiques that line the village’s Main Street. Your tour will include a stop at the Sag Harbor Whaling Museum and the Old Whaler’s Church and will include some free time within Sag Harbor. Depart Sag Harbor and cross Shelter Island located in the middle of Peconic Bay. Arrive in Greenport, where you will have an opportunity for free time, sightseeing and lunch on your own. Palmer Vineyard. Once again you will have an opportunity to sample the wines produced by a local vineyard. You will find a variety of gifts for the wine lover. Long Island Lobster Bake served at the hotel. The bake will be served poolside, weather permitting. Hotel Indigo East End, Riverhead, NY(B,D)

DAY 4 – Long Island Museum, Port Jefferson and Home
Hot buffet breakfast at the inn. Check out of the hotel. Long Island Museum of American Art, History and Carriages. The Carriage Museum in Stony Brook is home to more than 100 historic carriages and related artifacts. The carriages are one of the permanent exhibitions at the museum along with the decoy and miniature room exhibits. The changing exhibits include the art and history portions of the museum, which always have something special to offer their guests. Lunch will be on your own in Port Jefferson. There is a varied selection of restaurants to choose from in this historic portside village. After lunch board your motor coach for the last time and depart for the airport. Upon arrival, bid farewell to your local guide and prepare for your trip home. (B)
